• Heart Kyan / 喜屋武 葉亜都

Heart Kyan produces her work based on a sense of discomfort in daily life. The feeling comes from casual moments or human’s behavior, etc. In this exhibition, her work shows sliced moments of what she has encountered in a half year journey of Asia.

日々、過ごしている中で当たり前の日常に違和感を感じる事がある。それは何気ないものだったり人の行動だったりと様々だ。今回、アジア半年間の旅で出会った出来事を中心に作品をまとめました。こんな出来事もあるんだと新たな出会い、発見ができると幸いです。

• Miu Kubo / 久保 美生

Based on the traditional printing technique, Miu Kubo mixes with concept of the “Mono-ha”. The intension of her work is to produce "casual", and the whole work can be said that there is no particular meaning. So please do not consider it too much and just see it as "crappy".

現在学んでいる版画作品の他に、最近憧れている「もの派」の要素をいれた作品も展示しています。作品全体にいえることは、「特に意味はない」ということです。なのであまり考察せず、くだらないなぁという目でみてください。そういった気軽にみられるような作品が私は大好きなので、これからも「くだらない」をテーマに突き進んでいきたいです。

• Amane Sasaya / 笹谷 あまね

Amane Sasaya seeks boundary of reality and dreams through her artworks. She notes: Thinking back the day when I lie down on the bed. Regret, delight, smile, and the moment to release my consciousness. Between reality and dreams, it sways. This repeats every day, but I never get used to. The unstable moment brings comfort. Where is the boundary of the world and me?

夜、ベッドで1日の出来事を振り返る。後悔し、喜び、時に思い出し笑いをして…意識を手放すその瞬間。現実と夢のほんの少しの隙間で、宙ぶらりんにゆらゆら揺れる。毎日毎日繰り返しているはずなのにずっと慣れない、不安定で、不思議と心地が良い。世界とわたしの輪郭線は一体どこ？

• Soichiro Yamaguchi / 山口 宗一郎

By traveling Asia in half year, Soichiro Yamaguchi noticed receipts have been issued in Asian countries as same as Japan, and his work aims to find differences by aligning the receipts in each country. When photographs taken on distant lands were lined up side by side, he started making work based on the fact of a connection between photos and photos.

約半年間アジアを回ってきて、そこでの生活の中で日本と変わらないようにレシートが発行されていることに驚き、各国でのレシートを並べてより違いを見出そうとする作品。遠く離れた土地で撮った写真が横に並んだ時、写真と写真の間につながりを感じたことをきっかけに作り始めた作品。2種類の展示を行います。

• Minami Yamanaka / 山中 南実

Same day, same life, repetitive moment passes without any color. Minami Yamanaka releases a shutter to capture plainness and emptiness of our daily life with doubts. She notes: small instances, such as wind or seasonal change, could become a trigger to shrink the distance to life. We usually don’t notice unless we try to see them, but these are always there if we look up closely.

淡々と、同じことを繰り返す毎日が過ぎる。ただ１日をこなしていくうちに何も感じなくなっていく。そんな日々に疑問をもち、撮り始めた。柔らかな風が通り抜けたときふと季節の変化に気が付いたとき小さなきっかけで、生との距離が縮まる瞬間がある。見ようとしなければよく見えないけれど目を向ければいつもそこにある。

• ShiYing Li / 李 仕贏

Li ShiYing admires the other side of the world and captures the non-reality existing in the reality. A virtual image stays in the place of reflection on water or glass, and its characteristics are creating reversed figure. It is always with us. Although virtual image exists in reality, it seems to stay in other world.

現実のなかで現実ではないものが現実にある。虚像というのは水やガラスなどに光を反射するところに存在します。その特徴は左右、または上下逆転します。それは常に私達とともにあります。虚像の世界は現実にありますが、まるで別の世界の存在に見えます。憧れは向こうのいとおしい世界。

• Momoko Rokunuma / 六沼 桃子

Momoko Rokunuma expresses the works by non-logical way of thinking and aims to produce soft product (soft = curved element) rather than art pieces. On this exhibition, she shows the work of personification of machinery that clock cannot measure the time accurately.

彼は時計として生まれた。けど時計のくせに時間を正確に計ることが苦手なようだ。彼に時間を尋ねても、ニワトリが鳴いたから朝だようと言う。世界には膨大な数の時計が存在していて、たいてい正確にカチカチと時を刻んでいる。彼は毎日花に水をやる。/ 機械の擬人化をした作品。文字盤と針を見ても全く時間は分からないが、ギャグでも飾りでもなく完璧にこれは実用品である。使い方としては、切迫感を解放させること。
